Giza, Egypt This is a sneak shot with a cameraphone inside the pyramid of Chefren. There's really nothing inside but a long, narrow and steeply inclined passageway that does not have enough headroom most of the way to allow walking upright. It is the only way in to and way out from an empty burial chamber with no hieroglyphic writings, carvings, sculptures or any decoration at all. There is absolutely nothing to see but what you pay for is the experience being inside the most enduring man-made monuments of all. I suppose the purpose of the camera ban is to keep people moving. As mentioned above, there is no other way in or out and with little air circulating inside, a tourist trapped by other tourists taking souvenir photos could easily suffocate.
